Pine trees
Anyone know why so many pine trees are turning brown around several area ponds? I have seen this on at least 4 golf course ponds.
|
Probably cypress trees? If so, perfectly normal.
|
They are deciduous conifers which lose their needles each year
|
Some have been underwater with the heavy rains this fall. They will die. Several in/by the ponds on 441 near OBG look like they are past the point of being saved.

They are Cypress and aren't dead and won't die. |
I stand corrected! They looked like very damaged pines to me. I hate to see trees lost, so I'm glad I was wrong. I'll look forward to watching them green up in the spring!

I too am glad they are not pines. Hope to see them green up in the spring. Thanks for the info.
