Re: Battle at Kruger
Super neat video. Kinda like lunch at Crispers. I knew there had to be a reappearance of the croc.

Re: Battle at Kruger
Wow. I doubt the calf survived after the croc and lions had their teeth in him.

Re: Battle at Kruger
Ohhhhhhh! How I hate watching animals killing animals. I know in nature it is a matter of survival, but that poor baby!
Now Im wondering if It did in fact survive. :dontknow: |
Re: Battle at Kruger
Not watching any animals killing each other. I can't bear it. I am a big sissy.

Re: Battle at Kruger
Amazing video. I wonder why the buffalo didn't try to intervene until it was almost too late. Lions don't stand a chance against a whole herd of adult buffalo.
I know that the baby buffalo wouldn't survive in one of TV's cart tunnels! |
Re: Battle at Kruger
Gracie and Nonie you don't see death in this video, you see an animal rescued by its own kind. It is pretty impressive when the calvary charges in.

Re: Battle at Kruger
Yes Susan, the heroic part by the heard of Buffalo was very heartwarming but......As Sam said, the survival of that calf is very doubtful after what it had been thru. The calf most likely suffered an agonizing death. :'(

Re: Battle at Kruger
Great video!!!
Can't wait to show it to husband when he gets home. I was raised on a farm and remember a rat chased away by chickens. Moral: Never give up and there is power in numbers! Thanks Susan and Tom! |

I will have to watch this one at some local library. Been having trouble loading the latest Flash version.

TAL - sometimes the easiest way to get the latest version of FLASH is too completely wipe out the old ones.
Control Panel/Add, remove programs/Choose Adobe Flash XX - hit remove then reboot. Next time you try to download a Flash it should prompt for newest one. You might be having a duplicate DLL issue. Should work. |

We saw scenes like this while on safari in Kenya some years ago. It is wrenching to see, and all we could do was rationalize that it is the ways of nature. In this case the calf was rescued and hopefully survived for another day--or another life. Our van driver told us that the African buffaloes are among the most formidable creatures there and are responsible for more injuries and deaths to humans than any other animal!
