China Buffet is Open - Remodeled and Wonderful!
 

The China Buffet, near Publix on 466, has just re-opened after being TOTALLY remodeled. Everything is new -- furniture, booths, floors, buffet server counters -- all sparkling and tastefully done, The food is excellent and the staff is delightful.

If you had scratched this restaurant off your list because it was old and shabby, you will be pleasantly surprised.

They are open on Christmas Day.

This is good news because we had written them off when quality kept declining. Last time we were there and it was many months ago, it was like eating leftovers that had been cooked a day before and left out.

I had discounted them as well due to their problems with health inspections, but if they are gonna clean up their act.....maybe I'll give them a try. But...need to check on their MSG usage. It would be a real plus if they would get rid of it.

They are open today -- Christmas -- so is Evergreen Buffet in Pinellas Plaza.

Thanks for the info but we scratched them off because of the quality of the food which was sometimes cold and lacking. Perhaps they have improved that. We care more about cleanliness and the food itself than how well decorated a place happens to be.

Most have already made similar observations. I think they were trying to be optimistic...that maybe the food has improved too.
