Another phone scam?
 

Just got a telephone call ( the number that appeared on the caller ID was my own telephone number!) I said hello and a female voice said something about "rhis is your last chance for eligibility for a decrease in the interest amount on your credit card. . .blah, blah blah" at which point I hung up. I suppose it's the usual trying to get my credit card number, but I thought it was very strange that my own phone number was displayed as "out of area."

Happened to me as well this afternoon, but it was an area code 307, not my phone number. I hung up also.

I got the same call a couple days ago, waited for an agent and demanded my name be removed from their calling list.

My dad has been getting these for months. He tells them to remove him from their call list and they still call. It makes him crazy!

Recommendation . Get caller ID and do not pick up any call not identified and if Identified only those you want.
