Big Eyes
I would give "Big Eyes" 3.8 out of 4 stars. Best movie I saw over the holidays. Set in the late 1950's and early to mid-1960's, Amy Adams plays a woman (Margaret) who is a struggling artist and single mother who meets and marries Christoph Walz (Walter Keane). When Margaret's paintings start selling, Walter convinces her that it would be better if he took credit for the paintings. Eventually this situation unravels when Margaret wants to get credit for her work. Great performances by both Amy Adams and Christoph Walz; they could both be nominated for Academy Awards.
And my favorite line in the movie is directed towards Amy Adams' character: "Does your husband allow you to sell your paintings?" Several people, including myself, laughed out loud at that line.
