Battery Leakage on Garage Floor

Previous home ownerl's golf cart left white spots, blotches on the garage floor. Anyone know how to remove them, they've been there for awhile?

Probably too late.... I put some old carpet under the carts. It hides the past mess and prevents my future mess. In Virginia I picked up a cheap, large oriental rug for my Miata to rest on. You could add Race Track flooring.

once the acid is in the concrete it continues to eat away much deeper than is seen. For a good repair the damaged cement has to be removed and sometimes can go as deep as the thickness of the cement. There are regular under car battery/spill mats available to cover and collect new spills.

I'm not sure but I think the acid marks were at one time a rite of passage. No acid spill in garage, no way were you a true Villager. Part of the learning curve of how to fill the batteries. Now that more people are switching to gas carts, less spills but north of 466A most garages will have at least one acid mark.

I would at least do the baking soda solution and let it set for hour or two to at least try to neutralize the battery acid that seeped in the concrete.
