The United States has been at war with radical Islamist for at least 35 years beginning with with the 11/79 seizure of the US embassy in Tehran yet to this day American does not have a strategy to defeat this growing radicalized threat . Here is what congress should investigate:

1. The current strength and growth rate of radical Islamist around the world

2. the country by country danger.

3. The role of the Muslim Brotherhood.

4. The Arab countries that have successfully contained or minimized radical Islam.

5. The primary sources of radical Islam funding

6. Radicalization in mosques and social media who what and how

7. The Islam cyber threat scale challenge and strategies

8. Congress must hold hearings on how to defeat these threats, etc

If we go back not too many months ago during the advent of the beheadings and salughtering by ISIS in Iraq.....our commander in cheif stated we were setting out to decimate and destroy ISIS...we made some bombing runs....then all of a sudden no word on bombings? What is the status of the destruction of ISIS?

Nothing more than a current event political play.

And the reason why none of the above will ever be accomplished?
Requires dedication, commitment, responsibilty, accountability and leadership....the conclusion is obvious.

They've been wanting to "take over the world" since their inception. Remember what the Crusades were?? They wanted Europe, even, back then. They made it to Spain for sure.

I don't think folks in our country even knows what's happening. It's been said, "if you want to take over a country or government...do it from within!"

Totally agree! We are not losing. With the the internet and increasing wealth around the world to finance the few thousand nut jobs out of 7 billion, you will have these crisis. With the end of the cold war, you don't have the "assistance" of another world power to keep these nut jobs in line.

I read posts complaining about the Muslims who come to this country and try to change our way of life to fit their beliefs. Yet we believe we have the right to try and force our religions and way of life on them in their countries. We need to get out of their countries completely, politically and militarily, and leave them to their own resources. They are killing each other with their terrorist attacks more than non-muslims. We can not forget what they did on 9/11 and we must retaliate with force if they attack us in any way, but get out of the Muslim nations and let them police their own people.

They've been taking center stage since about the 7th century. Read some history books. When they weren't trying to conquer the world, they were killing each other.

The sky is not falling but extremist all over the world are gaining momentum and if a strategy is not developed mutually by the free world the jihad movement will continue to grow and the more powerful and the more entrenched they become defeating them will come at more costs of innocent lives. The French learned that lesson in WWII. At least in that war we knew where our enemy likely was and who they were. Its why Newt's suggestions have merit. forewarned is forearmed

The only reason we would lose to thugs like this is because we still hav a sense of morality, they do not so therefore as a whole, they have nothing to fear from us

Not sure if this is what you're saying, but to me, when people say "they've been doing this to each other for centuries….leave them alone and let them kill each other….we should stay out of it", it's not like it was in the 7th century thru the 1990s. It's different now with internet, email, texting, and social media, and they forced us into it with 911.

Before, they couldn't recruit all over the world via internet, to gain and train recruits to quietly embed themselves all over our country, waiting for the command on the right date and time.

I agree with those who say to get out of their country and let them kill each other but; once they are done killing off those who disagree with them where do you think they will go next. They are intent on world domination so the west is the final frontier so to speak. That I believe is what we are seeing now. Africa, Europe and North America is in their sights. I also feel once we get rid of the present administration, if America votes "differently", then things may be different than it is now. America gets what it votes for.

Those are good ideas. I would not say we are losing to radical Islam though. It is very hard to plan against attacks by lone wolves or very small cells which have been sleeping.
