Whirlpool Refrigerators

anyone else having major cooling issues with their relatively new fridge?

When we moved into our new home in KC 2 years ago, it was a spec home with Whirlpool appliances. I was glad because we had always had them. Everything (stove, microwave and dishwasher) has worked fine, we're on the 3rd refrigerator and I think finally we got a good one. Our new pre-owned home in TV has LG and the short time we've been able to use everything, they have been great. I really like the LG frig.

No issues so far - less than 1 year old.

We are on our 3rd Whirlpool refrigerator here in TV's. Our first one was taken out the day before closing, as that just didn't work. Our second one stayed with us for about 15 months, and we had 8 service calls on that one. Whirlpool called us and ask if we would like it replaced. That was a no brainer. The third one has been working for about 2 years now. Yay!!!!!!!!

Our Whirlpool frig had the ice maker replaced twice.
(In 6 mos.) Also very noisy.

I really wish our spec house did NOT come with appliances.

Prefer Kitchen Aid and a better quality!

Whirlpool cause electrical outage

Our Whirlpool is causing electrical problems that the electricians and warranty have not been able to fix. They are now installing a 50 foot coil of wire in the attic in an attempt to resolve the problem,

YES! Just yesterday I found my cucumbers, carrots and broccoli slaw frozen in the crisper drawer. The temperature on the fridge says 40. I am going to get a small thermometer to find out the temp of the crisper drawer.

My 30 month old whirlpool fridge gone. Refrigerant charge leak somewhere. No point in paying service to locate and repair leak cause if one brazed joint had slow leak could be more. New GE now.

PS: our whirlpool had high freezer temp at same time frozen stuff in refrigerator section

We have never had a problem with our Whirlpool refrigerator after 2 1/2 years of use and I like it a lot.

If you have a "fast Ice" option on the Fridge be aware that this forces the fridge to run at max cooling for 24 hours. This caused food in the fridge side on our Whirlpool to freeze a couple of times until I read the manual.

I talked with the Whirlpool tech and he advised me that if you have food pushed all the way back against and touching the back panel then it will impede the cooling air flow and some items in that direct area will freeze (mostly top two shelves). This happened to me on the back right side on two soda cans since the air flowing from the top froze them...it is then that I noticed that the shelves do not slide flush to the back panel but have a space to allow for the air flow and my soda cans were blocking the air flow.
