Odd Things in The Villages
 

There is an area off of CR 466 behind The Hampton Inn that looks as if it was destined to be a housing development but appears to be vacated. Anyone have any knowledge of what happened there? Would seem that it is not owned by The Villages developer. They built 3 or 4 homes that are vacant.

That may not be Villages property...but I'm not completely sure on that. Someone else on here may know this for sure but a few years ago, Dale Cebert was having fundraisers at one of the Regional Rec Centers...and I thought it was to be put towards a hospice facility in honor of a parent of his or grandparent. We were new so much of the information went over my head a bit.

Believe that property was owned by another developer. Built the Hampton Inn and some other buildings on that land and then he had a fatal accident. Don't know what happened to ownership and plans after that.
