Packing list and insurance policies

Here is a packing list that I provide my clients with - if you can think of anything that is not on the list please let us all know.

List of insurance policies, policy numbers, phone numbers and contact persons. I suggest you do this in case there is an emergency at home, you will have all the information you need at your finger tips.

List of people who you use for plumbing, electrical and other problems. This list should include their names, phone numbers and cell phone number. This list should be given to who ever is checking your house.

These last two tips saved one of our clients a lot of money and aggravation. One of their water pipes broke. She was able to give the neighbor all the necessary information, so that the problem could be fixed immediately and who should be notified.

Thanks HB, I will use a condensed version for my trip to R. I. next week. My baby sisters wedding. Yes, my dad remarried and I have a baby sis 21 years younger than I am. It is a mother daughter trip. My daughter was born 2 years after my baby sister. It will be a marvelous trip. And I think I will have everything I need!!

Great list Hyacinth, not only for cruises but for any trip, especially the last two items. Might need some modification to satisfy a couple weeks drive-about instead of a cruise.

One item (or items) you might consider is a list of userids and passwords along with internet addresses for sites you may need, e.g., bank, charge card company, insurance, library (if you have to renew those books on tape), whatever. But remember to keep this info safe --- like maybe keep URLs, userid, and passwords on different papers in different locations if necessary.

Muncle, great idea. Also when we travel we find out where the local libraries are, and they usualy have a guest policy, where you can use the internet free.

Also a good place to buy inexpensive books to read on your trip.

We also live by post-it notes for the cabin steward and each other so we know where we are on the ship! Usually leave them on the mirror.

Have also used two different color highlighters so that we can mark the daily bulletin for "our" activities (is this too anal?) -- but it works.

If you have a balcony, I've had to use duck tape or bungee cords to make sure the sliding door stays open at night.

Hi, we have done the same thing. We have also brought walkie talkies. That worked the best.
