Hot Tub on Patio Villa Property

Looking for input from anyone:

Can you put a two person hot tub on a patio villa property on the concrete slab between your home and the neighbors? Thanks!

There are things to research. Where is your property line/property corners etc.

There are set back rules to be followed. Also along property line there are utility easements.

These are the challenges that you will face. That is why hot tubs are frequently placed in lanais or other areas on your property.

I would not think that any of those restrictions would apply for a hot tub which is an appliance, not permanent construction.

Do you own the property between the two houses?

The ARC should be able to answer that.

Do you think that everyone gets ARC approval to do things?

A lot of things R done here under the radar

Like Tom said a simple call to ARC should be done.

I simply stated what I have seen .... nothing more and nothing less.

The OP is free to use my observation as they see fit.

Of course you need ARC's approval for any expansion or building. you need a building permit anyway. I don't see a problem with contacting the ARC. They are very helpful.

Read your contract! You'll be surprised what ARC requires of you in permits. Even painting your front door, putting on awnings etc.

It's true that a lot of things are done in TV "under the radar".
It wouldn't occur to me to contact the ARC about painting my front door, as long as it was a neutral color.
But if your neighbors complain, :boom:

I had a triangle shaped 3 person hot tub which I put in the front lanai of my patio villa. I asked about the patio and was told it would be no problem.
