Bought a New Car yesterday

We bought a new Nissan Altima yesterday from Lake Nissan in Leesburg. It is a gorgeous car and has their new zero gravity seats inspired by NASA. Probably the best experience we've ever had with a car dealer. We were able to bargain with them and they worked with us in every way to try to come to common ground. If you are looking for a new car definitely stop by the Nissan dealer. We worked with DJ Wallman and Bob Brown, both are salesmen. They work as a team and one of them was always available. Going through finance was a breeze (it took about 15 minutes). They had everything ready for us when we got there. Those two guys worked so hard for us. Here's a tip. Try to start your deal a week or two before the end of the month. They are willing to deal more then.

After I reread it, it did sound like an advertisment, but it wasn't meant to be. I thought I'd try to drum up some business for those two young guys. They really do go above and beyond. So often you feel sleazy after leaving a dealership and I didn't get the feeling there at all.

The test for any car purchased at any dealership begins after it is purchased and continues throughout the life of that car.

We purchased a Honda Mini Van in 1999 drove it until 2010 and never had anything but routine maintenance. It was only when I sold the van that I acknowledged publicly that it was a good vehicle as well as the dealership

As long as it on their common ground. I have never went away from dealership thinking I got the better of them and believe their not going to trade/sell till they meet their target price. Most hold you hostage till you give in:faint:.

Did they promise you a referral incentive?

It's nice that the OP felt so comfortable with the sales people. A "good" commission sales person is trained to get the customer's trust like that.

After completing a deal and driving my new car out of the dealer I always wonder how much less could I have gotten this car for.
I hate the experience of getting them down, then have to be introduced to their manager who tries to justify his price why he can't go any lower, but we really know he can. So what's their bottom price?......Who knows. I wish it could be as simple as going to Publix and buying a loaf of bread.

Yes thanks Judy!

Judy feels she got good service in the otherwise/always sleazebag world of car buying and wants to let people know. No need to bash the messenger. You're asking her questions no one would ever know the answer to and casting aspersions on her. She's trying to give her opinion.

Thanks, Judy. We just bought a new Ford Escape Titanium;the F150 won't fit in the garage of the home we just bought in TV. We also got a great deal; traded even my 2012 Lariat for the 2015 Escape, got the rebates and 2.9%. Pay no attention to some of the responders; if it's not about wrecks, running stop signs or roundabouts, they don't want to hear about it.

Great response; I totally agree.

If you drive out of the dealership feeling like you were treated fairly and with respect, then you probably got a good deal. Could you have gotten more? What's the cost of frustration and haggling with a sales person to save another $100 bucks? You did good Judy and I will keep this dealership in mind. Thanks for the information?

Just sold my F150 Supercrew yesterday...cried as it drove off....let me know how you like your Escape because we will be looking for something larger than our Accord.
