New Drive Belt

I had my 2012.5 4 seat Yamaha, w/5,000 miles, serviced at TV Golf Cars in Sumter Landing last week. They replaced the belt with a severe duty belt. I drove home, then back because it wasn't right on takeoff. From 7 mph on it was great, better than ever. From 0 to 6 mph you have to give 75-100% throttle or the engine reeves high, but moves very slow. This is very concerning, especially when crossing roads, either wide open or very slow. The lady at service took it for a quick spin and said it was fine, but she only would push it to the floor to go. What to do because 150 miles later and I still feel it isn't running right. I don't want to upset her but I feel it isn't running right. Can this be easily adjusted? Thank you.

The YAMAHA clutches continue to show accelerator problems and without adjustable conditions. You are not alone and a different clutch would solve the issue better than belt changes.

Thank you Frank. I will be giving them a visit, again, in the morning.

Before I ask them to replace the clutch is there a certain clutch that should be installed to correct this problem? Best to know before I ask.
Thank you

There is a aftermarket clutch that replaces both the Team Clutch and the original equipment clutch. Red Hawk # CP 0041

Frank: From what I have read here on TOV, most threads about clutch issues have been on 2012.5 Yamaha golf carts. I have driven later models and they were a smooth ride, did Yamaha have a new clutch design for later years? I am interested because I am going to take mine in to the shop on Wednesday because, when my clutch engages its very hard and shakes the cart until its up to speed.

The problems are not confined to just that year. The after market, clutches seam to correct the issues.

Frank,

I did a Google search for - "Red Hawk # CP 0041" that you mentioned in your post. The search found nothing.... can you provide me with a link for more details about this clutch?

Thanks

Unfortunatly Red Hawk will not sell to the public , you must be a dealer to get info and buy from there site.
The Cp-0041 is there part # for the replacement clutch for the G29, I sugest you call the dealer of your choice if you would like to order.
Golfcart.com is there site.
