a movie for singles
 

i could post this in the Talk of the Movies thread but i think this is a really important theme for singles....i saw the movie Old Fashioned yesterday, a Christian made film written, produced and directed by the main star, an unknown young man from Eustis. it was filmed in Ohio....this main character is convicted (in a spiritual sense) when he realizes his decadent lifestyle has deeply affected another person's life and he develops his "theory" about dating, refusing to be alone with a woman until marriage...it seems a bit odd to everyone but a new girl in town finds him intriguing and their courtship is the focus of the story. it gives one a lot to think about....those who know me well know i had a similar spiritual slap in the face a few years ago so i could relate to this character. probably not everyone will....but it brings up good points about dating and relationships and the disasters they sometimes bring into our lives and the lives of those we have hurt.....worth a watch!

emotional intimacy, affection, faith, trust and companionship are so much more important than anything physical but it takes many of us a long time to learn that. Some never do. Letting God direct our path is the way to go.

very nice post, philly! i agree. by the way, am thinking friday will be very cold so will post that the meet and greet will be inside Panera's. hopefully at three thirty they will not be too busy and we can get the back room...look forward to meeting you and everyone else.
