Termite protection
 

My wife and I are having a disagreement on termite protection. We currently have Home Team and she wants to switch to Massey. My problem with this is that Massey wants $1,200 up front just to start us with their program. The monthly fees are comparable. My question to you all is, is Massey worth that much money? Are they any better than the rest?

Depends what you are getting for the $1200. Are they going to treat the property? Are they going to bond it so you have coverage if there is a problem later? Much more to making that decision than just price.

Does anyone know anyone in The Villages who actually had "Significant" termite damage? Last inspection I had from Massey was a 15 minute walk around and through the house. Outside inspecting the foundation and Cement Hardiboard for mud tunnels for wall entry. Inside for damage and cabinets around water pipe entry for insect wings. Clean "bill" for 8 years. No added chemicals used since day 1.
