What Should be the Top Three Issues Addressed by the Candidates
 

In no particular priority order, what are the three top issues of concern to our nation the presidential candidates should be discussing?

My top three include:

Energy independence (increased drilling and refining; alternative fuels R & D)
National security (including border and ports security)
Upgrading national infrasturcture (roads, bridges, levees, dams) and related jobs creation

First and foremost: Iraq evacuation

Homeland Security

Economy

So many issues, however, mainly the dire need to bring our military HOME asap to protect their lives and our homeland!!

Iraq withdrawl
Economy (which should be helped by Iraq withdrawl)
Energy issues - converting from an oil using country to other forms of more available resources

While we are withdrawing our troups from Iraq, maybe they should come home from Germany and Japan now that WWII is over. Also, how about S. Korea now that the Korean conflict is over?

Eliminate partisan preferences/squabbling and the do nothing congress and get back to the needs of the country.....

The economy will take care of itself. Just announce SOMETHING, ANYTHING that smacks of energy Independence like drilling NOW.... like authorize new refinery capacity NOW....like mandating clean coal technology NOW. Just the announcement of any or all and just watch the impact on the price of oil....gasoline...employment.
Our enemies and the oil producing countries KNOW we are incapable of saving ourselves.

The solutions are so simple it is disgusting.
