Police shoot, kill man on the ground in LA.

I am a huge supporter of law enforcement, but this is HORRIBLE.

Sure looks bad but the story is the homeless man was reaching for or had his hand on an officer's sidearm. The entire video is on buzz feed for those with the stomach for it.

I was unable to open the link here, but did see it on the news. Apparently, the homeless man had the officers gun in his hand and refused to drop it even after being tased twice.

Some stats from the FBI via USA Today:

Police killings highest in two decades

It is an unfortunate and upsetting incident.

I would like to see how other stations in the area reported the incident. I do believ that how the news is presented has much to do with viewers reactions.

We'll see how whipped up this gets before what really happened gets authenticated.

I like to wait and see what the facts are in this.

Could very well correlate with this -

U.S. violent crime up for first time in years - CNN.com

Granted this article is over 2 years old, but I doubt that things have gotten better since then. The world is not the same - and unfortunately, neither is our country.

It is horrible, IF THE POLICE WERE WRONG. If he was going for the gun, it was a good shoot.

Watching some channel other than CNN...

might give you a more unbiased view of what happened...they and most other news stations not only completely screwed up Ferguson, but actually caused more trouble by fanning the flames of hatred of police....

Best find another station if you want the...

facts....won't be coming from CNN...

redwitch 03-02-2015 11:58 PM

This is a definite wait and see situation. The "facts" are all over the place. Even the video is not exactly clear what happened. I have heard he went for the gun, he had the gun. About the only thing not in dispute is that the police tried to taze him but either the taser malfunctioned, the officer used it incorrectly or it had little to no effect on the decedent.

I like to watch Fox News and MSNBC to get the two most extreme sides of any arguement. Then I turn on CNN to see holograms of what may or may not have happened.
