Hello - I have enjoyed reading the topics in this forum - all the joys and some of the tribulations of living in The Villages. Like most everyone my husband and I have been researching where we want to live when he retires in about 1 1/2 years and right now The Villages is #1. So we are taking the plunge and we will be there 10 - 15 July for a lifestyle visit. It is a long trek from Idaho but we are both excited to check it out plus enjoy a few round of golf.

Thanks to everyone for your frank discussions and invaluable advise.

Congratulations!!!!

We have been there three times since March 2007! Believe it or not we already knew we'd be moving there before our first visit. (We have a year to go.) On our first visit we stayed with a friend so we could experience TV from the perspective of a resident. We thought that we'd purchase a Designer home but found Courtyard Villas to meet our needs better. Our subsequent trips have been mostly for fun. We planned the second one so we could attend the April TOTV Luncheon! What a hoot that was!!! On that visit we also attended a party given by friends and then we were just in TV last weekend and we threw a party!

Soooooo if you like to socialize and be active you'll love TV!

And of course each time we played golf lol.

Make sure to contact as many members of TOTV as you can who will be in TV when you are.

We too have enjoyed TOTV. We moved from Milwaukee area in February to SC. We have property here in SC but we went to visit friends in TV in March and were really impressed. We are also going to be there for a sales visit from 7/10-15. Maybe we will see you there.
