Picnic Lunch Wed, 3/4, noon, Lake Miona Park

Sorry for the short notice, but doing spur of the moment things is one of the advantages of the informal unclub.

The occasion? Nothing special is needed, but in this case we have two:

1. another unclub Meet and Greet for any singles new to The Villages;

2. A send-off to the queen of the unclub, cha cha cha, as she is about to depart for a month or so in Europe.

This event is 100% informal. Just bring your own sandwich, or whatever, and drink. [no alcohol permitted in the park]

The park has picnic tables in the shade, rest rooms, and an overall very pleasant setting on the lake.

Directions: It is about 2 miles or less NW of Sumter Landing town square.
Take Buena Vista Blvd to Rainey Trail round-about. You can only go west on it, so, go west on Rainy Trail about 1/3 mile. When you enter a heavily wooded area, you are there. The entrance is on your left.

People can stay as long as they wish, but I suspect most will be heading out by 1 PM or so to do other things, so try to come by 12 noon if you want to eat with the most people possible.

NO RSVP needed! You can post to encourage others to join in.

Lorraine! The newbie!

The brown-bag picnic lunch went well. Weather was great. Ten attended, including Lorraine, the latest non-member of the unclub.
.
For future reference, remember that although Lake Miona Park is geographically about in the middle of The Villages, it is a county park, not part of TV, and cannot be reached via golf cart. You can get within a few hundred yards. Less if you have a friend who will let you walk through their back yard, and you are good at climbing over or through fences! :-)
