When push button phones replaced dial phones,the buttons you pushed had a distinct tone, almost instrument like. Well, one Saturday night I was sitting home bored out of my mind,(this didnt happen very often, honest!) and I decided to play the tune twinkle twinkle little star on my telephone buttons. Well, to my surprise a nice sounding male voice on the other end said HI! do you want to come to a party?? Being the party animal that I was in those days I said sure! you bet! absolutely!.........and the rest is history.

You sure you want to hear this?? I think yours is the best!!! Christmas Eve, my Mom dragged me and my sister out to go to a house party. But 1st mom wanted to stop at a little irish pub that she bartended at. 3 young guys walk in. I told mom I wanted to meet the guy sitting in the middle. She said he was too shy. I said, take me over there and introduce me. She did and we got a little table for 2 and talked non stop! I knew that night I would marry him. We never made it to the house party. The rest is history! LOL TWINKLE TWINKLE in his eyes, I picked the finest of the 3 guys!!

It's a simple story. Had a house built and was moving to a new area and needed a new veterinarian. My friend said, "Oh, I can recommend one, my family has been going to him for years. So I went to him. ;D Then I realized I had to marry him because I couldn't afford his prices! LOLOL 1rnfl Truly my soulmate though. :bigthumbsup:

I am a Paramedic and John was the Fire Chief...

I responded to an auto accident with entrapment..John was there as the Chief and I pulled up on the Medic Unit..The patient was very unstable and had to be air-lifted...

While in college, I had a good male friend who was a teacher and was looking for a room mate to share his trailer expenses. College students were always in need of a place to live and he found a sailor just back from Nam who had re-enrolled in college. After less than a month, my friend called me and said not only had he found a good renter but a man he thought I would like. He invited me over and the rest is history.....

My Dad was in the Air Force and we were stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines. One day at the swimming pool I met this cute Airman. We arranged to meet that evening at the Silver Wing Service Club. We dated for 6 months and then it was his time to go back to the states. Six month later we went back and he traveled from DC to PA to see me. We went to Biloxi and a few month later he showed up there to ask me to marry him. Six months after that he went to Clovis, NM where we got married. All this travel was necessary because I was still in high school until 2 weeks before we got married. So that is the rest of the story.....

One of my co-workers was hospitalized and I went to see her. While there, her brother-in-law,a nurse in the same hospital, stopped by to see her. We made plans to play pinochle when she was released. For 6 months, we were buddies and pinochle partners. One night just the two of us went to see a film. We were married 2 weeks later and have been together for 37 years. Oh, yeah, we still play pinochle together AND are able to golf together!

AS a student at Ohio State I got a part time job working for a company owned by my husbands family. I knew they had three sons but they were away at military school.

I was young and romantic and hadn't outgrown my dreams of finding "The PRINCE". One day I was redoing the display window and saw three young men dressed in military attire staring at me in the window. One was taller and HE Had on a red jacket, the other two were in blue. I could hear music playing. The gorgeous young man in red with epaulets and stripes on his pants looked just like Cinderella's PRINCE.

They came into the store and I learned that they were the family's three sons, and were dressed in their uniforms because their grandmother had wanted them to sit for a photographer.

I was very shy and I didn't drive or have much money. He would talk to me a lot and asked me to go to his sisters wedding with him. He offered to teach me to drive. He had a 57' Plymouth Fury. (WOW!) He was VERY respectful of my shyness, but I thought he would NEVER kiss me. Well after two weeks of trying to learn to drive I finally I kissed him and the rest is history.

I am so LUCKY. He is still my PRINCE.

Meeting my wife wasn't unusual (same part time job) but how I met my first 'real' girlfriend was a different story. I was working as a summer replacement fire fighter on my city's fire department when I was 16. We had to go through emergency medical training and I actually got to work on the rescue squad along with the paramedic.

One day after getting out of work, but still in uniform, I came across a traffic accident. I saw a young girl laying in the middle of the street. She was walking across the street and was hit by a car. She was bleeding and in shock. I did what I could for her until the rescue arrived. Since I worked with them they let me ride with her to the hospital.

We became friends and then starting dating shortly after that. It lasted a couple of years but it wasn't meant to be and I met my wife shortly after.

That's a really neat story Russ Boston.

My problem is that I usually have feelings for the wrong girl while the wrong girl has feelings for me. Never the twain have ever seemed to meet up in my personal life.

I met my husband the first day of first grade. His mother brought him in the class room as showed him the seat he was assigned to--right in front of me.
