Hi, my name is Barbara. My twin sister, Beth, has been encouraging me to join this site for years. Evidently the time wasn't right until today:)

I live in Tallahassee.
Still working as a librarian at an elementary school. We are on Spring Break this week.

I'm fascinated by The Villages. I am interested in meeting new friends. Just from what I've read so far, I love you all and fit in perfectly already!

I will keep an eye out for events I might can attend. I'm only a few hours away and I have summers off!

Hello Barbara! I'm Dee. I live in Maryland but we're moving to The Villages in September. Our house goes on the market in two weeks. Like you, I'm new to the site too but everyone has been just wonderful, answering my questions and reaching out to welcome me. If you're looking for nice people who understand people of my age (not sure how old you are) then this is the place for you. I'm going down for 2 weeks in May to find a place to rent. We're going to do that for a year until we decide whether or not to buy. Best of luck to you and I hope you enjoy The Villages.

Welcome, Barb! I just bought in TV in July but haven't moved in permanently yet. Despite my infrequent visits I have found everyone welcoming, from my neighbors to the singles I met when Diane set up a "meet and greet". Simply the nicest people everywhere.
