Bird Cages for Patio Villas
Does anyone have a bird cage attached to their patio villa? Or manufactured home?

Re: Bird Cages for Patio Villas
Patio villas aren't allowed to have birdcages unless located on a corner lot. At least, that is what I was told.

Right, corner lots only.

Re: Bird Cages for Patio Villas
I'm not so sure that it is limited to corners only. I see a lot of birdcages on the new villas over on the Kenya section of the Havana CC. Many have pools and spas if my memory serves me. Maybe it is corner (for the interior lots) AND golf course (or other open) views?

Re: Bird Cages for Patio Villas
Russ, well I think you are right and it's a matter of defining "corner" lot.
The last lots inside a dead end street (ie: for visitor parking) are actually not on a corner per se, but do allow birdcages since there is an extra bit of land there. The standard interior patio villas with the 10' between homes requires a 5' easement and there's no room for a birdcage, is what we were told. |
Re: Bird Cages for Patio Villas
Russ,
I believe those villas near Kenya are Courtyard villas and many of them do indeed have birdcage extensions past the lanai. CYVs have the lanai in the back so birdcages are viable. Since patio villas generally have the lanai in the front, there is less opportunity to extend the lanai. |

Thanks for the info - Now I know what those cars were that i saw on a resale villa in Palo Alto: http://www.thevillages.com/homes/vls...asp?vls=205206
I don't think that would be too much of a concern - visitor cars? |
