iPad Battery
Does anyone know how I can get the battery in my iPad replaced. The batteries themselves are pretty inexpensive, but looking at the instructions on how to replace it makes me a bit nervous. I don't think that I'd want to attempt it myself. I have the feeling that the Apple store will charge an arm and a leg and of course will try to talk me into buying a new iPad. Additionally, it's over an hour drive to the nearest Apple store.
Is there anyone locally that can do it for me? |
Battery Plus charges approx $90 for battery replacement.

For $15 you might try something like this iPad case with a battery:

There is a website, www.ifixit.com that has lots of information on fixing and replacing batteries. There several local computer repair stores, I have used MMD and was very happy.

Google YouTube about it. I have fixed a lot of things that way. There are good how to videos available there.

The Radio Shack in Wildwood (352) 748-2021 has a guy there named Louis that can no doubt install it for you. Great guy and VERY reasonable. Call first to make sure he's there as he splits his time between 2 locations.

Depending on which type of iPad you have, the repair would only cost $80-100 with us. If you would like to, call us and we can give you a proper quote for the part. We would be very happy to help and have plenty experience with all iPads!
