I thought scam, Too, but the OP disappeared when the first offer to replace was posted. I was disappointed the OP didn't come on and thank the folks for their willingness.

I think the issue became moot. If here on vacation, odds are they are back home by now. I hope the little girl had a good time despite the loss.
