Failure
From today's Kim Komando's newletter:
Many of us are afraid of failure. But many highly successful people have failed in the past. See what I'm talking about. http://videos.komando.com/2008/07/16/famous-failures/ And there are a lot more of them. The last line of the video is VERY true. |
Re: Failure
Thanks Munc,
That is even good for people of a certain age to hear. It's about the big stuff and the little stuff. Good stuff, Munc. Boomer |

Geez. I gotta get out of here today before I begin to obsessively edit. And put in an addendum, or two, here and there. And. And. :yikes: I just put :yikes: in a quote from myself. This Boomer in the morning. Boomer in the evening. Boomer at suppertime stuff is getting the best of me. But I really liked that little video. So I just wanted you to know that. And maybe I will sign up for golf lessons again now. Thanks. Boomer |
Re: Failure
Very Good Munc.
but you can beg all you want to. I am not getting on that tight wire again. |
Re: Failure
That was an inspirational video. It made me reflect on my past and wonder if there is still hope for me. Then I thought to myself.... "maybe I'll go back and see if anything new was entered into the PROCRASTINATION thread?" But I didn't feel like looking it up right now. So I decided to play another game of free cell solitare and forget all that ambition stuff.

Re: Failure
Reminds me of my son who was a high school dropout and on the road to living a life we feared in prison.
Well, another success story of which I am very proud... He is working on his doctorate and has a profession in the university academic field. Failures do produce success at times. |
Re: Failure
Great video Muncle. I was fired from my first job in advertising. (Wasn't taking it seriously enough) And actually told them I wasn't going because I had nowhere to go. (Ah, the boldness of youth.) Anyway, went on to become their top writer! Brought in two 10 million dollar accounts with my campaigns and at a Christmas party the head of the agency came up to me and simply said "Thanks for demanding to stay. I thought that was so creative, I couldn't let you go. So happy I didn't!" A wonderful memory. ;D
