What's the dress code for attending events at the Savannah Ctr? Can we wear shorts, sandals? Or are long pants, dresses, etc., more the norm?

You will see some people wearing shorts and dressed very casually ::); however, most people attending events at the Savannah Center (especially the operas and other events that feature the same singers) dress more appropriately in dress slacks and golf shorts (men) or even suits. Most women dress accordingly.

It seems to depend on the event. I've seen shorts, I've seen dresses. Church or casual office seems to be what most wear. No suits or ties. Summer dresses, slacks, capris, khaki shorts and a nice top.

Also keep in mind it's often pretty cool inside cold_cold .......... unless you attend SHOWBIZ 2008 and the AC is broke ! :dontknow:

I've seen everything worn at the Center. I feel you are going to a show and I like to dress in slacks and a nice top. Can't get use to going to a show in shorts.

I'm a shorts, skorts, and sandal gal so if and when I go to Savannah I hope they let me in! ;D

The few times we've been there, we've seen anything and everything and never had the impression that anyone was looking down at anyone; it seemed more like a pervasive 'live and let live' attitude rather than any kind of 'dress code.'
