Why are things like Tupperware parties not held in rec centers?
And charges made to use meeting rooms if they include outside people who are not guests?
|
I'm a little confused Gracie. Not sure of the question. Do you want to see Tupperware parties there and have them charge for it? or for free? It used to be you could use the card rooms for no charge, but I'm not sure if you could hold a Tupperware party there or not.

Is this a ploy to get back to why it's okay for TV to ban tour buses on TV property?:a20::jester:

YOU caught me again. I love you and your dog. |
My understanding is that no commercial activities of any kind are allowed in the rec centers. My wife goes to a craft group where they allowed a person to come in and sell craft supplies. When the powers that be found out, they put an immediate stop to it. I understand the reasoning for this, because if you allow it for one group, then all types of businesses will want to use the rec centers to sell their products.

By the way... have you been checking if the state has some of your money? Read below and check. Hundreds of Villagers still not claiming their $$$ |
Let outsiders come to activities in the rec centers? I can remember many saying no to non-Villagers coming to support groups held in rec centers because the facilities were limited. Ditto for singles who want to bring someone from the Tri Counties to a dance here. Now you're suggesting letting them in for a for-profit event? I'm all for anyone being able to attend support group meetings. Ditto for someone bringing a date to a dance or other function. But not for something like a Tupperware party, even if the actual event were allowed.

I am not for people using our facilities and not paying for them...outsiders that is.. I have never liked Tupperware parties. You couldn't PAY me to go. |
Would valet parking be available?
|
Not free
If there are people attending who are not village residents there is a charge to rent rec centers.
