Proof positive that many true words are said in jest:

Did you hear the one about the Muslim, socialist, Kenyan president? The joke Obama can’t stop telling. - The Washington Post

You Obama haters marginalize your opinions (and your intellect) every time you try to inject this silliness into your arguments.

I am a centrist who voted for Obama and I will listen to, and at times agree with, solid factual arguments that various policies and positions that this administration have failed or been misguided. However, when the birther ignorance raises its ugly, and weary head, I will quit listening to anything else you have to say, as it is clear you are not in tune with reality.

In gonna guess you are, by contrast, a full fledged member of the Obama Kool Aid Club?

The Artful Dodger

Comedians are known to base their material on personal events in their lives, those things they found painful. So what makes people believe that Obama is only kidding. Is there a better way to deflect the truth than by joking about it.

Actions speak louder than words and Obama's admiration of the Muslim world and his continual criticism of Christianity and Jewish faiths is telling. Even his poor attitude toward the military is apparent.

So perhaps the laughs on those who laugh with this artful dodger.

Personal Best Regards

Let's at least be honest about this ...

Obama is obviously a smart and crafty guy but --

- his mother was a low rent hippie who abandoned him
- his father was a Muslim drunk who killed himself while driving drunk, and who likewise abandoned the son
- Obama went to a Muslim school during his formative years
- his grandpa was a loser in life and quasi commie

One has to suspend reality to think all of this early trauma did not have a negative impact on Obamas psyche

Wow! That's pretty impressive, to go from such meager beginnings to the most powerful person on earth.

Impressive indeed but at the same time very disconcerting from a mental health perspective. Politics aside, any kid growing up like that would be scarred in some form or fashion

The real question is what's the longer term psychological impact on his person?

I am looking forward to a republican in 2016, but sir, you are a childiss fool if you feel your post is of any good for this country.

No name calling please ...

To your point, however I don't think Obama really likes our country all that much when you get down to it. My opinion but I think it's shared by millions, even if they won't say so

Wow! Being able to read the minds of what millions of people are thinking is quite a talent. These were jokes, people, told at the WHCD, and they probably got lots of laughs. Lighten up and try to develop a sense of humor.

After eight years with Hillary Clinton at the helm, I'm guessing posters will be pining for the good old days of Barack Obama.

You're like a broken record ... and I posted earlier about how you always ignore the points that are made, and then change the subject to tell us about Hillary's inevitable election etc (side bar: you heard it here first ... she will NOT be your nominee :( )

Anyway, the point in this case is, politics aside, I think anyone raised under the same circumstances as Obama was, inevitably has deep scars on the inside. No one knows for sure but they are there. The question is ... what impact do they have on his worldview, and thus his decision and polices?

And, you know I'm not "reading minds" at all ... just making an obvious observation and drawing a reasonable conclusion.

In the meantime, the video and joke telling is indeed funny. The guy holding office, not so much.

WOW! Reading million of minds, knowing who the democratic nominee for president will be and psychoanalyzing the president all in one day, quite a talent.

President Obama's best joke of the night was about his bucket list, and that is exactly what he would tell posters on this forum.

The second best joke, IMO, was about nobody knowing who Martin O'Malley is at a Martin O'Malley rally.

Hmmm ... could also describe an Obama rally in early 2008?
