Table Pads
We bought pads for our dining room table about two months ago and left them on the table the entire time. After removing them yesterday we found that the finish on the table where the felt sits appeared discolored and had an appearance similar to water marks. We wondered if it was affected by humidity and the pads should not have been left on the table.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions on removing them other than refinishing? |

OH I feel so bad for you. Just trying to protect your table.. On this I would go back to the person who made them and expect them to make any restoration good. .I think Rael Furniture who advertises on here may have an answer for you. I am so sorry. What a disappointing thing to happen. |
speaking of table pads...does anyone know of someone local who makes these for dining room tables?

Try leaving the pads off for several days to a couple of weeks, and see if the discoloring fades. This could be a reaction between the material of the pads (glues, etc.) and the finish on the table. If nothing changes, then you will probably need a professional refinisher.
Good luck. |
