How far north or south of 466 are most of the members?

Why only guys? I'm a single female and love to play poker and yes I do know what beats what.

You should be allowed to play. I think they're afraid of you.

I bet you do! Let's start our own poker group where everyone is invited. How about some Texas Hold ' Em?

Their group their rules. Nice of them to invite others.
I would play, but alas my wife wears the pants in our home so I guess I wear the dress.

Why the question of letting women play? Its not a government sponsored poker club. Geesh!

P.s. I live in Sanibel.

Our group has been playing poker in The Villages and we just started our third year. We play in a few private homes on the second and fourth Wednesday each month (excluding holidays) and we play from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM.

The games are dealers choice, nickel/dime quarter. Typically we have one table that likes to play no wild cards, but they do occasionally and one table that plays wild cards.

It's a friendly game and the cards play themselves. Typically we have 8-14 players, but more are welcome. The games are in the south end of the Villages in and around the village of Sanibel off Pinellas Place.

We use coin (not chips) and wins or loses usually run between 0 and $20 for a player.

Smacks and light refreshments are part, with the host or players bringing snacks or chipping in.

As for lady players, they are welcome, but to date it has been all guys.
