Another Break-In May 6
 

Someone kicked in the front door of a neighbor's home on Winifred Way Wednesday afternoon. The owners were only gone for 30 minutes. Jewelry was taken. Haven't seen anything about it in the papers.

Obviously it was done by someone who saw them leave the house. Lawn service?

No fear of going to jail.

I'm assuming this was in the Village of Winnifred.
It sure sounds like someone was watching their house!
What have the Police told the homeowners? Do they have any suspects?

You are right. When they are caught it will be a slap on the wrist and set free to do it again.

If you come out of your house and see a vehicle with people in it, use your phone to take a picture of the plate number...get a pic of them too but you may be too far away. If they notice (probably think you are on the phone)...good...they will probably leave that area alone if enough of us do it...we may be able to let the police catch them. The police know this is a big issue here.

One man who came to measure at our villa said one guy was out by a white truck pretending to be on his cell, looking at a house and pointing T things. In the meantime his partner went around back and kicked a window in. They had a cement mixer in the back of the pick up. They were bold as a neighbor across the street was tending his yard and saw it all but assumed they were contractors. Be wary and neighbors stick together.

I believe the house in question has a screened in entry way and provided some cover for the thief. I am a neighbor a few doors away and was trying to figure why that particular house was chosen.
