Landscape Architect
 

Having been searching TOTV for a recommendation for a Landscape Architect but have only found recommendations for landscapers that do design. Does anyone know of any firm that is a stand alone Landscape Architect that has no connection to the landscaping function?

The only ones I know of work at large engineering firms, and can only design for you through the firm they work for. I do know of one landscape designer in this area who has the engineering and horticultural education, but doesn't pay for the license. He does CAD or old school drawn plans for his larger customers, and will design without being the builder. Message me if you want his number.

We have been talking to a lot of people in a lot of neighborhoods along with other established non landscaping vendors.....amazing what you can find out when you talk to businesses that have been here for a long time and pick their brain. Thanks again.

Thanks, they are on our potential list. One of the drawbacks is they not only design, they also install and maintain. We were looking for someone that can design only so they won't have a bias and would make it easier to get like for like bids. We are not landscapers so don't know what we don't know which breeds trust issues....lol.

So you don't like the Stepford look :shrug:

This is a first rate design team, when I asked two years ago they would do the design for $750, then give you there wholesale growers contacts to save more than their fee.
