Queen palm trimming and pod removal
would like a recommendation for someone to trim queen palms and remove seed pods. Call Fred at 352 750 6363
|
You can find a cerified arborist at treesaregood.com, as I learned from master gardeners.
The seed pods casings are heavy, pointed, and able to do bodily harm, so Headgear for the pruner is recommended! |
Queen Palm trimming
We have always trimmed Queen Palms about 1 foot below ground level....Sorry....Not a fan of palms, but bugs LOVE them...Ugh!....Plus
they are a maintenance nightmare! |
Agree with above post, installed three and they were beautiful -- then. Now the pods open and drop whatever it is inside and mess up the rocks below. Never see any bugs.
|
We will be removing 2 that are over 30 feet tall. Too messy and hard to take care of.

Recommend Gonzalez Palm Tree and Hedge Trimming. 352-409-8838. Came same day. Reasonable price. Do not remove pods yourself. Very heavy with sharp ends. People have died doing it themselves. Trimming will look better by a professional.
|
I trim mine right after pod opens, not while it has the sharp pointy end
