Fox News rules will limit the field in first GOP presidential debate - The Washington Post


With the first republican candidates' debate just a little over two months away, Fox News announced today that they will limit that debate to ten candidates.

To be included, the candidates must have polled in the top ten in reputable polls, be eligible to be president and have paid all their FEC filings before August 4, 2015.

The first debate is August 6, 2015 in Cleveland, Ohio.

I will look forward to the FOX presidential GOP debates if it promises to be as funny as the Idaho GOP debates were!!!

Since they are allowing only the top 10, I guess the looney bin will not be giving passes to the others.

It should be an amusing slamfest of Pres. Obama and future Pres. Clinton.

I suppose to some that political discussion means mockery and arrogance !

Do not see the reason to mock anyone for any reason, and keep my distance from those who do it, ESPECIALLY those who do it on an anonymous message board. Makes you wonder about these kind of people.

Not to worry - the loonies who fail to make the cut for the first debate will get a chance to participate in a not-quite-ready-for-prime-time looney bin the following night.

The 2nd tier looney bin is expected to comprise of Farina, Donny Dump (assuming he chooses to grace them with his presence), Kasich, and whatever loons are polling between 1-2%. Hopefully, this will include Michelle (god-told-me-to-run) Bachmann, perennial candidate and serial adulterer Newt), and assorted other wacks.

It has been quite notable the past few day.....the absence.

Saying mean spirited thing about people you don't know is a reflection on you and your character. Would you really be saying such things if the posts were not anonymous? Perhaps you are a troll? Regardless, don't you have anything better to do? I know that I do and I won't come back here.

My opinion, these are ALL trolls, however most live here and post on the main forum at TOTV. It is a small group of "cronies" that have nothing to offer except ridicule.

It IS a reflection on their character. They have and are ruining something that the admin made a noble effort to give us.

It is one thing to post only your political views, and another to just simply be a "wise guy" or "wise girl".

There are obviously a very small representation by these folks.

The last few days they (?) were offline, away or what ever as the lack of counterpoint name calling and ridiculing posts were conspicuously absent.

Made even more obvious by their resumption recently.

I actually posted about the lack of response on the issue laden threads here and that one side was absent.

I sure did not mean to post as they have, which I suppose should expected by now.....the crony group never lets us down in embarrassing themselves
