The Sharon - The Temptations

Last evening was our first visit to The Sharon. We were not disappointed. The building an amenities are wonderful. We went to the 5 pm show and we had no problem parking; in fact we parked on the Alverez Ave. right around the corner from the Sharon Building. No problem with traffic after the show either. The Temptations were great as was the opening act with the Flashback Four. There was no intermission. We have tickets to several more shows and I think they will all be great. This is a class act just like everything else in The Villages. A very enjoyable evening.

Were you able to go in and out for bathroom breaks?

We were there last night for the 5pm show and felt the exact same way as you just described! The show was one of the best concerts I think I have ever attended and believe me, I've been to many!

I don't think there could possibly be a bad seat in that whole venue....it was perfect and very roomy seats too! To the poster about the bathroom breaks....yes you can leave, they just want you to wait until there is an applause after a song before you re-enter.

it was our first time their also.....thought the seating was great....we sat 1st row in the orchestra pit for the 5:00 show....both the Flashbacks and Temptations put on a great show.....my only complaint was I thought the mix of the band and vocals were bad.....the band mainly the drummer and lead guitar player seemed to over power the vocals on every fast song....when they did a slow soft song was when you could really hear their voices and how well they harmonized.....so to be honest I was a little disappointed

We were in row H (row 8) and at the beginning of the The Temptations part of the concert I agree with you - the band did overwhelm the singers. It seemed to get a little better as the show went on. I think concerts are usually too loud so I thought this was pretty standard but maybe if they get some feedback The Sharon will change the sound level. I'm sure it was worse for you being in the 1st row than for us. All in all though a great show.

We agree with your post all the way around although we sat in the Mezz. 8 of us felt the vocals were drowned out often on the Temptations songs. Still a very nice evening and look forward to attending many more events.

We have been to two shows and the only issue is the sound. We were in the first 5 rows, orchestra center for one and orchestra right for the other. The sound in that area is not crisp, I would be interested in how it is farther back. The Speakers look like they are focused in filling the room as only 2 segments are facing down. I agree with the Temps poster, the band played over the vocals....not sure if that is the sound guys at the Sharon or if the act determines that but the brass section was over powering as was the drummer. I have experienced venues with better sound (also worse).

We were there Monday night for Million Dollar Quartet. We sat in the last row in the back Mezzanine and the sound was awesome.

Went to The Million Dollar Quartet - absolutely wonderful sound. Also went to The Temptations - agree the sound wasn't great but I don't think it was the fault of The Sharon. I look forward to many more shows.

That's kind of an important "only issue" for a concert.

Gosh I guess I was too busy enjoying the concert, thought the sound was great!!! We were in Orchestra Row L

A good sound engineer can fix that.

Does anyone know the names of the members of Flashback Four?

The Flashback Four are Chuck Barrios, Michael Evans, Sammy Pawlok and Eric Winger.

Saw them tonight in the Four Divo show. Excellent show in an excellent facility. :)
