Village ID and gate passes

I won't be arriving until about ten days after closing. How does one get an ID card and gate passes. I will pick up keys, etc. at the sales office. Is that where I get these other things too? Thanks in advance

Yes that is where and when you get your ID's and gate passes! Welcome to The Villages :)

But don't worry too much about gate passes - Just push the red button for entry.

WELCOME TO THE VILLAGES! YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE.

I assume you have purchased a home, and are not renting?

I have purchased a couple pre-owned homes in the Villages and received the Resident ID cards and Gate passes at the Villages Closing Department (above the bank, across the street from sales office in Spanish Springs). You should be given the mailbox keys at the closing held at the title company.

PLEASE, PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG, otherwise another dog cr@p thread will surely ensue.

PLEASE, NO SEAT SAVING IN THE SQUARES, again this will reduce the chances of another seat saving thread.

PLEASE, NO VIOLATIONS OF COVENANTS UNLESS IT IS FOR THE GOOD OF OTHERS, an example would be having a 4 year old move in with you because the child's parents lost everything in a poker hand at Vegas.

PLEASE, NONE OF THE ROADS IN THE VILLAGES ARE WIDE ENOUGH FOR A CAR AND BICYCLE, if you are driving and come upon a bicyclist; pull a u turn and head back home, "share the road" and "try again tomorrow".

That should be a good start, others will chime in if I forgot anything important. Of course; :welcome: TO THE VILLAGES!

Excellent advice. The chip in the neck only stings for a couple of days and your bra size will soon increase and you will enjoy cleaning.

You start by first going to the Sales Office. Someone in that office will then escort you down to the Closing Office were you will receive keys, IDs and a lot of helpful advice and information. Please allocate about half an hour for this activity and longer if you have many questions. The Village staff has this process down to a science. You will be impressed!

Been there, done this twice in the past six months.
