Another incident of measuring the past based on the beliefs of a few special interest

groups today:

School's 'racist' statue of priest praying over Indians moved indoors after complaints.

From the beginning when the statue was commemorated to and including today it was not intended to reflect any of what has been charged by a few.
The spineless university leadership rolls over at the first hint of dis-satisfaction of a few who have re-interprted history to reflect their beliefs.

Bit by bit our heritages and values are being changed to reflect the views of the few.

The majority loses another one.

At some point the real Americans, I hope, will rise up and be heard just as loudly as the few.

Totally disgusts me everytime I see one of these attacks on our past.

Never ever miss a vote.
I also do not miss an opportunity to write or contact politicians.
And I will write and advise the President of the University of his deriliction of duty and cow towing to special interests at the expense of the majority!

...and the president of the University will wonder why you are interested in asking him why he is having a cow towed somewhere. :1rotfl:

How many noticed this is Saint Louis University which is a private Catholic university? Nothing public about this. Call the Pope if you are upset.

Dear Guest:

Now your kow towing to the forum to get a cheap laugh at the expense of an individual that made a simple mistake and perhaps just a keyboard mistake at that. Please you know what the poster meant. I am sure people he knows on this forum would have given him/her a gentle remainder of the keyboard mistake.

I know because I made a very egregious mistake once with a word and a poster PM me and I contacted Admin for a correction. It was shortly after that incident that members were given the opportunity to edit their posts.
I was very grateful to that poster for his discretion with my situation and his
taking the time and greatly appreciated Admin's actions with providing an editing key. I do wish we had one on Political Talk.

Personal Best Regards:

Yes, the edit key would be nice. I do not PM posters about content of posts.
Regarding the cow towing vs. kowtow, I doubt if the poster did know the difference in spellings. IF that poster would write a university president and used that phrase "cow towing", the university president would know what he meant but would also think the letter writer was quite ignorant, wouldn't he?

No he/she would not. He/she would have a knowledgeable tolerance for improper spelling or punctuation and would focus on the message and not stoop to the name calling level.
