Non-Citizen voting
 

There are some communities in the USA that are allowing non-citizens of the USA to vote in local elections. We are NOT talking about illegal immigrants but non-citizens. For example, the spouse of a US citizen who is still a Canadian or Columbian. Naturally, they could not vote in State or National elections but they are allowed to vote on local issues.

Taking part in local issues makes for a more responsible community.

You would deny my English wife the right to vote in American elections? She has a Florida driver license and is eligible to vote with that as proof of citizenship even though she is still a legal citizen of England.

The notion of letting non-citizens vote is idiotic on its face and need not further be discussed by rational people.

It is very easy for a non-citizen to get a Florida driver license and register to vote at the same time. As I said, my wife who is an English citizen did that and has voted in two national elections while living in The Villages.

No she shouldn't be allowed to vote. Why would she if she not citizen?

I think we all know which party has the grip on illegal voters. That's why the resistance of voter ID is fought tooth and nail to steal elections at all levels.

She does vote responsibily. I know of several Canadians who vote here using their Florida driver license and two other Brits who do the same. Most, if not all, vote Democrat. :MOJE_whot:

As a result, your wife is likely guilty of a felony and risks imprisonment and deportation. Please provide name and address so that we might refer this case to the proper legal authority.

Dear Guest: I hope you do not take this as a personal affront but the answer to your question is "Yes".

Two critical areas for a democracy to exist and thrive is to have a voting system and a news media that have not been compromised maintaining their integrity, objectivity and trustworthiness.

The mainstream media has replaced their professional ethics and responsibilities behind their political ideology. How can you rely on their reporting if they withhold facts, misinform, mischaracterize, vilify and plain out lie?

How can you say that the American people have spoken when non-americans are voting or Americans who vote more thanonce or confound expert who discover that the dead come back just to vote.

They have countries like that they are referred to as banana republics which leads me to say that we are heading down that road because progressive believe in internationalism and reject American's exceptionalism

I am sure your wife is a lovely person and would be a welcome American citizen

You're kidding, right? The question "which party actively supports illegal voters" (or words to that effect) is rhetorical by definition ... the Democrat Party of course.

No, I am not a Democrat. I am a Socialist. Registered as a Republican ,though, so I can vote in their primaries. Go Cruz! One less vote for Rubio, Walker, or Bush. :wave:
