Yep, I was the remote AND the rabbit ears adjuster.

I bossed my little sister around and made her be the remote.

How well I remember, LOL

I was stronger than my sister. She did not have the strength to turn the massive channel dial. It clunked when it was turned. So it was as if I held the remote in todays world.

When I was a kid, you never lost the telephone............it was always in the same place.

Caller ID meant - ring twice then hang up.

Oh yeah?... Well, I'm so old that I fart dust.

And you better go slowly through the channels so as not to break the channel changer.

Back when TVs were just starting to have optional remotes, I actually said to some friends "I can never see myself needing to buy a TV that has a remote" :ohdear:

I am not sure it is the most naive thing I have ever said, but it ranks up there...
