I am looking for a new family doctor, not affiliated with the VHC . Any recommendations?

Dr. Tafur was good for us...his wife is a PA as well in the same office. Office is off El Camino just past the hospital.

Terlar, I am new to the area. Why not VHC?

I am underwhelmed with the Village-area healthcare. Lucky, I am healthy. Signed up with Dr. Jeffrey Budd who is affiliated with Shands. Don't ever want to end up in Villages Hosp. except in extreme emergency.

I am happy with our Dr. With Village Health.

After being unhappy with two VHC doctors, we struck gold. Our doctor is at the Creekside center. He is fantastic. My husband became very ill in 2014 and was hospitalized in Ocala for three months. Our doctor called us at home when this happened! Since then, everyone at Creekside seems to know us and my husband's issues. We get excellent service, call backs, etc. It is like a Marcus Welby environment. It was just a matter of finding the doctor that suited us best.

I ended up in Ocala and I am in the southern end of the villages! Healthcare here is scary &
I had several bad experiences with the villages healthcare. Do your homework!

I heartily agree. My wife and I both worked in healthcare. He is an excellent physician.

We just moved here from Va., two months ago. We have acquired a new PC physician, Dr. Ma Thuzar Aung. She is really good. You might try her….we have Humana Health Care so had to find a doctor that took our insurance. In any event we are very happy with her so far.
