Hidden Gem "Spirit & Truth Christian Books"
 

I was searching for a suitable gift for my husband who is to be Baptised this coming week. The big stores had nothing suitable, but "Spirit & Truth Christian Books" is a treasure trove of books, and much other assorted merchandise. The store is located close to TV in Fruitland Park's 110 N Dixie Avenue. A husband and wife team are running the store, and as mentioned it is packed with many items to select from. It also boasts a comfy reading area in the converted house/store. There is ample parking in the rear alley. Phone 352 728 3777 for store hours as the owners have cut back their hours for the summer.
I mention all this, because I found THE perfect gift, and want to support this local ministry.

Thanks, shrandell..........good to know. So hard to find these days. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm down. Currently I live full-time in the suburbs of a major city and just heard a few weeks ago that the last of these types of book/gift shops is closing in our area. Over the past 5 years every one that I know of has closed. Thanks again for taking the time to post!

This lovely little store is struggling to stay alive. At one time they also had an adjoining tea room, but are now concentrating on their store merchandise. Not only is there a variety of items, but the owners have a wonderful attitude which was missing in the other large Christian store.
