sprinkler donuts?
Someone once told me there was a guy that comes and removes the grass around the sprinklers and puts the 'donuts' down.. can someone give me a name or phone number?
|
I've had Larry Hart do this for me a few times. He does a great job at a very reasonable price. You can find his phone number by doing a search on this site.

Don the Donut Man does a great job and is reasonable. I do not have his number but you can probably do a search and his name should come up.

I think Don retired but his Son is now doing the work.
|
Agree, Dunkin is the only donut needed in TV

Ah. And here I thought there might me a new donut shop in TV. I like sprinkles. :)

Please forgive the newcomer question, but what's a sprinkler donut and why would I need to replace one? So many new things to learn.

BC Sprinkler donuts are round cement rings that go over your sprinkler heads to protect them from the landscapers. |
Aha, well I guess I don't have any since I had to have a sprinkler head replaced recently due to it being run over by the landscaper. Or else it was broken. I'll have to check into this when I get back in the Fall. Thanks for the education!

Don hasn't retired. He is only 84! His son is doing the work and Don does the booking. You can reach Don at 352-205-2393

- Protect sprinkler heads from lawn mowers and vehicles. Even when not popped up, your sprinkler spray heads and rotors are at risk; if a lawn mower or car tire runs over them, the pressure can cause the sprinkler head and/or the connecting pipes to crack. - Help keep your sprinklers in proper alignment. This will allow the sprinklers to fully water your lawn, saving your grass & landscaping, reducing water wastage and keeping our lawn green and healthy. - Prevents grass from growing over sprinkler head. Keeping your valuable sprinklers visible is key to vastly reducing the chance of them being run over and damaged. Grass covering them will also interfere with proper operation |
Ace Hardware sells a tool that cuts the round hole. Didn't find any Donuts there, but at Home Depot. Tool is like the Zoysia pluggers.
Just wait for the heat to break. |
