Parkinson's Disease Question

I'm wondering if there are any groups in TV whose purpose is to try to advance research and the search for treatments (possibly a cure??) for the disease?

My brother had Parkinson's Disease for 25 years before finally succumbing just a couple of weeks ago. My uncle was diagnosed two years ago. And while I was in Ohio for my brother's funeral, I found out a cousin whom I'm very close to was just diagnosed.

I have no experience at organizing efforts to benefit causes, but now I find myself wanting to do something to help in the efforts to treat the disease. So if there are existing groups/efforts related to Parkinson's, I'd love to help some way.

If anybody has any suggestions or advice, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

My heart goes out to those with this condition. Nothing has been cured since polio and the sad fact is most likely it could be cured, along with cancers etc. They Know those patients do not produce enough dopomine in the brain. I believe a cure should have already have been found. You cannot tell me we don't have enough brilliant scientists in this world that cannot find cures. There is a Parkinsons support group in the villages. Give them a call

Years ago my mother had Parkinson's . She was in a test study for the deep brain stimulation operation. This was before the U.S. Approved it . It worked her twitching and everything associated with Parkinson's went away. When you turned off the unit she would show the symptoms .people with Parkinson's should look into this operation. Best thing to ever happen to my mom. She passed away 5 years ago from a heart attack. She had Parkinson's when she was only 35 and passed at 83.
