Fresh Goat's Milk

Looking for a local source for FRESH goat milk. Anyone have a contact or experience with a local goat farmer?

I buy mine in Ohio from someone I trust. Before you buy fresh goat's milk, as I'm sure you're aware, you should check with a county or state agency to check the reputation of the goat's owner. My goat lady is very picky about what medicine, chemicals and foods go into her goats, which is important since the milk is not pasteurized.

Thanks for the warning and I agree. I am on a mission to find healthy happy goats who are not taking antibiotics and are eating correctly as nature intended.

K-9....The very best goats milk comes from 4H bred and raised goats. They are fed and groomed for show. You can contact the Lake County 4H at 352-669-3275 and they will give you info as to someone close to TV to purchase milk. HTH

Just to update, I found a good source for my raw goat milk at the Saturday Farmers Market at Brownwood.

SeaQuest Farm has a booth. I get my eggs from the Thursday Farmers Market at Spanish Springs.

Is raw goat milk healthier than almond milk?

K9-Lovers 07-13-2015 04:07 PM

Goat milk is closer to human breast milk than cows. Raw is healthier than pasteurized according to some sources. However, raw milk can cause bacterial infections in your intestines.

After learning that my supplier listed above recently had a bacterial problem in her intestines, I am going back to my almond milk.

I make my own almond milk so I know where it comes from. Here is the link to my blog where I have the recipe posted. It's very easy to make. Easy Homemade Almond Milk | timeout4me
