Fl Energy building code in effect next month

All new building permits must comply with the new code.

For example those crappy aluminum widows can't be used at TV anymore.

I'm sure there are other things that will increase the prices on new builds here as well

Wow, that's great news on the updated code for the windows! I took a quick look at the documents in the listed links that were posted, but couldn't come across the changes in the Energy Code that would impact the windows being used. Any chance you could point me to the right place, in the right document, to see those changes? Out of all the construction methods and materials used in our new build last year, the windows jumped out at me as sorely "under spec'd", especially compared to the bulk of what's being used on even the replacement window market these days! Thanks for the help.....:)
