Highly recommend MAX! Everyone should see and ladies, bring the Kleenex! You will fall in love with this dog and movie from the beginning to the end. A really special movie, especially for Independence Day! Treat yourself to a heartbreaking and heartwarming movie which brings out your emotions of love, appreciation for a marine and his dog. Just when you thought it was safe to read TOTV again.

Jaws. Right. Especially now. Ha.

My late sadistic cousin made his wife read Jaws at the beach and their small children were playing, in the water. Every page she would look up and check to see if they were ok. Thank goodness, nothing happened.

"Yankee Doodle Dandy" is a 4th of July tradition for me. Cagney actually started in show biz as a dancer. Cagney's start in the movies began when lead actor wasn't looking sinister enough, so the director had them change places and the rest is history. This picture was always his favorite and was complimented by George M. Cohan, himself, on his portrayal.

Friends of mine won't go see Max as their Max, passed several months ago. :(

Yankee Doodle Dandy with James Cagney is the best 4th of July movie, hands down. WOR television used to play the movie continually all day on July 4th when I was a child.
