Asking to get Robbed

This is a repeat of one of my previous posts. Today, in the Daily Sun- there was an article of a resident who happens to own 2 Jags-Duh, saying I'm rich , I live in a specific community -with a last name--Why put yourself out there? We have 2 late model MBZ--I would never go this naked--you're asked for trouble!~!!!

TVMayor 07-03-2015 02:24 PM

Why did he say this?????

Chatbrat 07-03-2015 02:29 PM

Guy displaying 2 -2014 Jags in driveway- is asking to get robbed--1 -off the cars is -only 1 of 100- imported to the US
Talk about going naked !!!

I & my wife own 2-late model MBZ--no-way would we ever advertise our toys !!!!

The more they cost the more the scheduled maintenance cost, more insurance costs, and the more they desperate. :pepper2:
Maybe the cars got to match the house and status? To me jag's are all that? Now if he had Viper or Bentley woohoo! To each his own!:eclipsee_gold_cup:

I for one, enjoy cars and am happy he shared his interest with others. I found the article interesting. As for being robbed. It doesn't take a robber with too many brains to determine that there might be " interesting stuff" when driving through some neighborhoods. As for actual robberies, as reported in the past, it seems that most have been in the "middle priced" neighborhoods.

What is so special about Jaguar?

hulahips 07-03-2015 04:06 PM

Maybe he has his garage filled up with other cars, golf carts etc

Chatbrat 07-03-2015 04:08 PM

Flaunt what--if you're making payments --you don't own it--the bank owns it--why not ride around with a monthly balance sheet on the side window of you car--showing your net worth-now thats saying something-

This is not true. Robberies have happened in all neighborhoods from the least expensive to the most expensive.

I love this thread. The remarks are hysterical. Thanks for the laughs. BTW my neighbor has a Porsche convertible. I drive a 1998 Jeep. Janet

No one has to drive thru--the Daily Sun is distributed in Leesburg, Ocala-get the picture--a have not sees a picture of of 250K worth of cars in a specific driveway--bulleye--nuff said--its not brain surgery--like a woman wearing a 5 carat gem quality ring to Walmart--bullseye--its not rocket science--

I think that usually those who flaunt their whatever are crying for attention. Maybe not all the time, but when they orate to the rest of us.... just saying. As a retired security specialist, I would have to say a newspaper article describing your expensive property is an invitation to those who might want to abscond with it. By the way, I read recently that high end cars are being stolen and shipped to China for High profit. Bragger beware.
