Lee Greenwood Concert!!! Wow!
 

We just returned home after the Lee Greenwood concert at the Sharon. What a great, uplifting performance! His tribute to the USA is breathtaking!

This was also our first time at the Center and were quite favorably impressed by both the venue and the personnel. We'll certainly go again.

Very glad you enjoyed the concert. Lee Greenwood does put on a great show.

Was there any announcement that you heard about if a person left the auditorium to go to the bathroom that they would have to see the rest of the show on screen ina special room and not allowed back in the auditorium?

No announcement using that verbiage, however ticket-takers did announce as we all entered that it would be a 90-minute show with no intermissions, so most guests took advantage of the conveniences before entering the auditorium.

This is not true about not being allowed back in the auditorium. You should wait at the door till there is a pause (applause), then go back to your seat.

Neither were most of the patriotic celebrities who lifted the spirits of hundreds of thousands of our men with USO tours throughout WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Bob Hope, Kate Smith and Ann Margret weren't drafted, either. That does not diminish their tremendous contribution to the morale of US forces, or to the American families whose sons and daughters served or were tragically lost in those wars.

There are certainly other celebrities who openly aided and abetted the enemy in all those wars. Some continue to do so...we can name them, as well, whose openly anti-American activities were devastating to the safety and morale of American troops. Yet people still go to the theaters to see Jane Fonda et al.

The expression "tapped into" American patriotism has a pejorative connotation that attempts to detract from Lee Greenwood's patriotic efforts, which we believe are genuine, and valuable to this great nation, especially now. If the American populous needs and wants his product, God bless Mr. Greenwood for providing it. Most of us whose families have served, and continue to serve in the Military, appreciate it.

You’re right, you’re right. I withdraw my comments about Lee Greenwood. The truth is, I love that song, “Proud to be an American”. I was just reacting to something that happened yesterday that bugged me and caused me to go off on the wrong people.

I have a close relative that wants us to go to war at the drop of a hat. The thing is, when he had the opportunity to join the military back in the 60’s, he hid behind a deferment. It's always bothered me that he was never able to make the same sacrifice that he expects from others.

I agree that Lee Greenwood has been a great supporter of the military and the country and my argument is not with him.

The celebration of Independence Day is about the contributions of all Americans...not just those who served in the military.

Went tp the first performance yesterday--truly fine & inspiring

Too bad--a lot of self centered people-thought using I-pads, cell phones & cameras applied to other people--@ a Broadway performance--the show would have stopped until all devices were turned off!!!

They played "GOD Bless the USA", in SS last night, two times.

It always reminds me of my late uncle, who fought many battles in the "Pacific Theater" and helped preserve the freedom, we have today. A friend of mine always cries, when she hears that song, as her son is serving in the military and has had several tours of duty.

Entertainment people were vital to our fighting men and women, to keep their spirits up and remind them of what they had to look forward to, when the war was over.

GOD bless our men and women in the military and those who support them, in every way.

Don't sit in the first 2 rows of the Balcony because you will not be able to see the whole stage at once. There is Handicap seating in the first balcony row but you cannot see due to the box seats. There is an elevator so you will have to wait if you cannot walk up stairs. Remember, no bathroom in the balcony, need to go on the Mezzanine. Had to push a wheelchair around from the back handicap parking to the front of the Bldg. They did open a side door near the front corner, across from Valet, for handicap entrance.

I first timer also.
Agree, great show.
Mr Greenwood told some of his personal life in a lighthearted manner.
Patriotic songs were uplifting.
Very nice.
