Without a Doubt...

...the most important article in the newspaper today!!

Right here it is!!

It's true and many have been aware of this for a long time. The old ice in northern Canada that took thousands of years in the making is near gone. The new ice, the little of it is much more fragile. Ships are passing into areas that were closed for centuries. We watched a live movies of the old ice quickly sliding into the sea years ago, it is real but some would rather shift blame or go into denial rather than just look at the issue and see if indeed anything can be done or not. It's a real life event occurring.

No, I think Polar may just be concerned about his personal safety and the future of his species. He just forgot about all the natural cooling and warming periods the earth has gone through over the millennia.

Jeeeezzzze! Not again.

Heheh...dbussone gets it!! That article is scary!!

(And just between you and me, my human counterpart is well aware of the earth's cool and warm periods...and thinks my fear may be slightly exaggerated. :) )

I don't agree it was the MOST important article in the news. How about 50 shot and 10 dead (including a 7 year old kid) in Chicago over the weekend? I guess next the press will blame us for the dinosaurs being extinct too.

and meanwhile... the country is served up a massive hunt, involving over 1,100 law enforcement officers, for two escaped killers. "News" almost seems to be meant as a distraction... "No... look over here!"

Here's another item that may be of interest...

Feds: San Francisco pier shooting suspect deported 5 times - CBS News

Your human counterpart is very wise.

The item about San Fran is just terrible. Deported 5 times and comes back to SF because it's a sanctuary city.

climate change is real....cloaking oneself in denial won't change it

Yes it is. And it has been since the earth's beginning.

I am a realist.

People are NOT going to give up cars and air conditioning or start being careful with anything. The greenies make noise and try to put rocks in all the yards but really cannot make the world's people go backwards and turn off motors. What they CAN accomplish is so minimal that it will not change the atmosphere.

It is like gun control and drug laws. Only the conscientious would change. It is ****ing in the wind. Most people are ultimately selfish. And I know it seems hotter than it used to be, but I don't know who I can really trust to tell me the real truth anymore. The media? The government? The whole world calls a very large threat Isis, except for ONE man who insists on calling it ISIL. What does that mean? Who is messing with us? Who is telling us the truth anymore? And what can be done? When the government enters the picture, they usually waste more money and resources fixing a problem then in dealing with reality. The government is ignoring important laws already on the books.

OOOPS. I think this post is political.
