A conspiracy? Perhaps no-one replied because you haven't included the rental price.

Go back and read some of your prior postings about life in The Villages. Would YOU rent from someone who praises their rental house in one post and rags about life in The Villages in others?

Remember, things posted on the WWW have a long shelf life.

I have been checking Designer rental properties in TV for several months now. I have read many ads on a variety of rental forums. My critique for Helen's ad is she does not list the information that is important in making a decision to look at the home. Saying the home has the "usual appliances" does not tell a prospective renter what they want to hear. Are the appliances upgraded stainless or the less expensive white or black appliances? Does the home have a washer and dryer? (We are selling our before we move). She lists the home as 2700+ square feet. I assume this includes the lanai. Most rentals advertise the square footage "under air" excluding the lanai and then list the size of their lanai separately. Does the home have a walk-in shower or walk-in closets? How about window treatments and interior colors?

People like me have to look at homes from a distance and make a decision on those they want to consider when they visit TV. Also, I think Helen's home is a tad overpriced based on the competition. Most Designer long terms rentals are going from $1700 to $2000 based on upgrades, location and age of the home. Pictures are helpful if you cover all the rooms but they do not tell the whole story. We joined this forum to aid in our house hunting.

Again, just my opinion from California. We are looking forward to our visit to TV next month to find the perfect long term unfurnished Designer rental for us.
